Join us for an exclusive preview of the transformational exhibition Cut Up/Cut Out and Tess Martin's new stop motion animation film, Ginevra. Cut Up/ Cut Out features national and international artists who explore the captivating methods of decorative piercing and cutting. Also on view are Emerge/Evolve 2016: Rising Talents in Kiln-Glass and Electric Coffin: Future Machine.

Emerge/Evolve 2016: Rising Talents in Kiln-Glass

Emerge/Evolve 2016 features an expanded selection of work by award winners and honorable mentions from Bulleye Projects' most recent kiln-glass competition, Emerge. Three former Emerge contestants comprise the Evolve portion of the exhibition, which showcases the evolution of their talent since they were featured in past iterations of the competition. This international host of artists' cutting edge work in kiln-glass offers a different perspective on the medium.

Future Machine is an evolving installation by Seattle design studio Electric Coffin. Over its seven months at BAM, Future Machine will transform and expand through collaborations with local artists, makers, tradespeople, industry leaders, technology innovators, non-profits, and other creatives—demonstrating the potential for innovation that a blend of diverse voices invites.
