Passing the Torch is Seattle Metals Guild's annual statewide jewelry and metal arts competition and exhibition for Washington State high school students. This program gives students the experience of exhibiting their metal work and encourages them to consider a life in metal arts. Each year's display features three categories: jewelry, hollowware, and a rotating third category. . The third category for this 2017 display is Contrast & Negative Space. The first exhibition was held at the Tacoma Art Museum in the spring of 2003. The program has grown over the years and now includes over 40 schools throughout the State. Bellevue Arts Museum is proud to be the venue for this year's display and offer a wonderful opportunity for students to show their work in a professional setting! We hope you will join us to celebrate these artists’ achievements!
