Art of Discovery Educator Training Workshops are open to ALL EDUCATORS! Whether you are interested in signing up for the Art of Discovery program in the future, or simply interested in learning how to incorporate more hands-on arts learning in your teaching, we welcome you to join us for this professional development opportunity. Join experienced Art Educator Halinka Wodzicki on January 6 as she focuses on a group of artworks with the theme of Animals in Art.

These sessions will cover some specifics of the Art of Discovery program, but will mostly focus on widely-applicable themes and tools that are designed to help teachers implement interdisciplinary arts learning in the classroom. Curriculum and lessons are provided and support WA State EALRS and Common Core Standards.

This opportunity is free for all and can count towards clock hours (PSESD). (If you would like to get PSESD clock hours, there will be a small processing fee of $12.) The training will cover important information about the Art of Discovery program, general approaches to arts integration in the classroom, as well as hands-on art making and project ideas.
