Presented by Bellevue Arts Museum and the Junior League of Seattle
Join the Junior League of Seattle and Bellevue Arts Museum to explore different approaches and strategies for arts learning! Our Art of Discovery program has brought original artworks into classrooms across the Seattle area for over ten years, and focuses on investigation, observation, making connections, and hands-on art-making experiences.
This year, the trainings for the Art of Discovery program are open to ALL EDUCATORS! Whether you are interested in signing up for the program in the future, or simply interested in learning how to incorporate more hands-on arts learning in your teaching, we welcome you to join us for this professional development opportunity.
These sessions will cover some specifics of the Art of Discovery program, but focus on widely-applicable themes and tools specifically that are designed to help teachers implement interdisciplinary arts learning in the classroom. Curriculum and lessons are provided, and support WA State EALRS and Common Core Standards.
This opportunity is free for all and can count towards clock hours (PSESD). (If you would like to get PSESD clock hours, there will be a small processing fee of $12.) The training will cover important information about the Art of Discovery program, general approaches to arts integration in the classroom, as well as hands-on art making and project ideas. We look forward to seeing you there!
