Join BAM and artist Humaira Abid to celebrate the publication of Taboo. This comprehensive catalogue was produced by a pioneering partnership between Bellevue Arts Museum (Bellevue, WA), ArtXchange Gallery (Seattle, WA), Twelve Gates Arts (Philadelphia, PA), and Khaas Gallery (Islamabad, Pakistan). Catalogue contents include:

  • An introduction by internationally renowned Pakistani novelist Bapsi Sidhwa

  • Artwork from Searching for Home at Bellevue Arts Museum

  • Artwork from Abid’s My Shame exhibitions at ArtXchange Gallery and Twelve Gates Arts

  • An in-depth interview of Abid by Searching for Home curator Jennifer-Navva Milliken
     

We will begin with light refreshments and remarks by the artist, followed by the opportunity to purchase books and have them signed.

Books for sale for $18.99 + tax. Event is free, does not include admission to galleries.
