Join artist Mandy Greer in the creation of her communal weaving project for Bellwether 2018! Visitors can sit for a while and assist the artist in weaving at this specially-made, communal peg loom shaped with 5 sides.
The process of the Hygeia Loom is a part of Greer’s durational performance installation project for Bellwether 2018, called “A Great Unbridgeable Distance,” which will take place at Downtown Park in Bellevue from September 15th – 23rd, 5 – 8pm, in the northeast corner of the park at the Formal Garden. Each evening there will be a meditation and reflection space in the garden, centering hand-work meditations as a way to compassionately sit with our own dark places and societal dark places, led by a cohort of performance guides.
