Presented in partnership with 4Culture and Storyfolios
Storyfolios is honored to present an afternoon with siblings Lu Shuanqin and Lu Yansheng, hosts of China’s famous underground salons for young artists, poets, and philosophers during China’s Cultural Revolution. At great risk to their lives, they and their friends wrote and read poetry, painted and exhibited paintings, and discussed forbidden topics. Their underground salon gave rise to the famous Misty Poets of China. Bring your lunch and hear how and why these young intellectuals risked their lives to make art and poetry.
Attendees are encouraged to bring a brown bag lunch.
