Taking inspiration for the exhibitions at BAM, learn how to build relationships between sculpture and drawing—both by starting with drawings as blueprints toward finished 3D works and by using sculptural elements as the foundation for drawing and painting inspiration. Learn traditional and unconventional sculpture design skills, found objects, and ready-made assemblages. Use a variety of unique materials to create sculptures that express your unique voice.
TAS@BAM
TAS@BAM is a free drop-in arts class that offers a casual and supportive environment where participants enjoy access to BAM's current exhibitions. Each month a Resident Teaching Artist will focus on different skills and themes to teach in connection with a current BAM exhibition. Teen Art Studios are set up to have new students every workshop so don't be afraid to stop by anytime! TAS@BAM is free and open to all students ages 13 –18, and includes art materials.
