Using BAM’s Fall exhibitions as inspiration, explore what it means to use art to respond to the world around oneself. Join us at BAM to develop your own personal narratives in a range of 2D techniques and mediums. Each week, we’ll explore classical techniques for mixed-media drawing and acrylic painting in their traditional, and then move on to explore how one can manipulate these traditional means toward your own unique ends. Focus on developing your artistic skills and creating unique artworks and techniques.

TAS@BAM is a free drop-in arts class that offers a casual and supportive environment where participants enjoy access to BAM's current exhibitions. Each month a Resident Teaching Artist will focus on different skills and themes to teach in connection with a current BAM exhibition. Teen Art Studios are set up to have new students every workshop so don't be afraid to stop by anytime! TAS@BAM is free and open to all students ages 13 –18, and includes art materials.
