Get inspired by the current exhibitions at BAM! Students will explore different printmaking techniques, including linoleum block carving, cyanotype, dry-point, and monotype. We will experiment with mark making and materials, exploring how images are formed through a combination of drawing (what) and materials (how). Printmaking is a collaborative process between the materials and the artist—feel free to bring your existing projects or drawings as inspiration or to develop further using the tools and techniques of printmaking!
TAS@BAM
TAS@BAM is a free drop-in arts class that offers a casual and supportive environment where participants enjoy access to BAM's current exhibitions. Each month a Resident Teaching Artist will focus on different skills and themes to teach in connection with a current BAM exhibition. Teen Art Studios are set up to have new students every workshop so don't be afraid to stop by anytime! TAS@BAM is free and open to all students ages 13 –18, and includes art materials.
