Bellevue, WA—Bellevue Arts Museum has opened the search for its next executive director. On Wednesday, the Museum shared an official job description for the position on their website and other recruitment platforms. BAM aims to fill the role by the end of 2021.

The executive director will play a key part in all aspects of managing the organization—from strategic planning and fundraising to ensuring that curatorial activities meet the long-term mission and vision of the Museum—as well as advancing the Museum’s ongoing work around diversity, equity, and inclusion.

“I’m excited to assist in the search for BAM’s next Executive Director” says current Interim Executive Director Leigh Ann More. “Much of my time over the past few months at the Museum has been spent speaking with staff, board, advisory, docents, and other members of our community to help get a clear picture of the organization’s needs as we move into our next chapter. I can’t wait to see what’s next for BAM.”

“The Museum is well positioned to grow alongside our community in a thriving downtown Bellevue,” adds Karin Kidder, co-chair of BAM’s Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Committee and incoming Board President. “Finding the right leader for this vibrant institution is critical as we develop and implement a strategic plan that will ensure we serve and engage our growing community.”

The full job description and information on how to apply can be found on the Museum's website.
