12thannual Breakfast for Community Leaders is on Thursday, November 03, 7:30 - 9:30 AM at Bellevue Arts Museum

Bellevue, WA— Bellevue Arts Museum is excited to announce the 12th annual Breakfast for Community Leaders. This year’s theme is ‘The Future of the Arts, Technology and Life in our Cities’. Distinguished panelists are: Dr. Lynne Robinson – Mayor, City of Bellevue, Michael Greer – President and CEO, ArtsFund, and Dan Lewis – Co-Founder and CEO, Convoy. Moderated by E. Michael Whittington, Executive Director, Bellevue Arts Museum.  Notable business and community leaders will discover local arts engagement opportunities, all while supporting the community.

  

ABOUT OUR PANELISTS

Dr. Lynne Robinson

Mayor Lynne Robinson joined the City Council in 2014, and she has a long history of civic involvement. She is a champion for startups and small business, and has encouraged startup and equity crowdfunding workshops at City Hall. Her colleagues voted her deputy mayor in January 2018 and mayor in January 2020 and again in January 2022. Lynne also advocates for the environment, parks and open spaces, human services and affordable housing in Bellevue. She proposed a property tax exemption adopted by the council for multifamily complexes that include affordable housing. She represents the council on the King County Mental Illness and Drug Disability Advisory Committee, the King County Affordable Housing Committee and the Puget Sound Regional Council Executive Board. Before her election to the council, Lynne served on and chaired the Bellevue Network on Aging and the Parks & Community Services Board.

 

Dan Lewis

Dan Lewis is the Chief Executive Officer and Co-Founder of Convoy. Before Convoy, Dan served as General Manager of New Shopping Experiences at Amazon, as well as Vice President of Product and Operations at Wavii (acquired by Google), and Group Product Manager at Microsoft. Dan started his career in technology and supply-chain consulting for Oliver Wyman, after studying cognitive science at Yale University.

 

Michael Greer

Michael Greer is the President and CEO of ArtsFund. Having worked as a professional artist and an executive in the nonprofit and for-profit space, he brings a wealth of experience to the role that spans the United States, India, and Mainland China. With degrees in economics, education, and business, Michael brings a diverse skill set to the role and a unique perspective on the challenges and opportunities of the sector. In addition, he is a dedicated community partner and serves on a number of boards including the Downtown Seattle Association, Inspire WA, Puget Sound Regional Council's Economic Development District, Seattle Regional Chamber of Commerce, and United Way of King County.
