20 UNDER 20 EXHIBITION

Bellevue Arts Museum and the Teen Arts Council are pleased to present an exhibition showcasing young artists (ages 13 - 19) in the Puget Sound area. 20 pieces by artists under the age of 20 will be selected and showcased in the Community Education Gallery from June 6 – September 7, 2014.

This exhibition is designed to feature youth ages 13 - 19 as emerging artists and is juried by the Teen Arts Council with the collaboration of Bellevue Arts Museum curators. An exciting opportunity to display work in a public and professional space, this exhibition showcases a range of artistic media highlighting some of the best talent of the next generation of artists and craftsmen.

Thank you to all who submitted their art work for the 20 Under 20 Exhibition. The application process for 20 Under 20 is now closed. Come check out the outstanding artwork selected for the exhibition in the Community Education Gallery, June 6 - September 7, 2014.

TEEN ART WORKSHOPS: METAL JEWELRY WORKSHOP

TEEN ART WORKSHOPS: PRINTMAKING WORKSHOP

Join BAM’s Teen Arts Council for an afternoon of printmaking with arts educator Molly Klema. Master the basics of printmaking start to finish, from creating a plate, to inking and transferring your image, teens will go home with an unique print on beautiful hand-made paper.

BE A TEEN DOCENT

Students ages 14 to 18 – Are you passionate about art and interested in working in a museum setting? Bellevue Arts Museum offers a teen docent program and we are looking for teens who would like to learn about art, presentation techniques and can make a six-month commitment. Once trained about our exhibitions, the teen docents will conduct tours and gain a sense of pride and confidence to help them succeed in any environment. This volunteer position also counts toward high school community service hours.

The Teen Docent Information Session and application process for the 2014-15 class will be held in September 2014.
