Film Series: A History of Women’s Achievement in America
Celebrate Women’s History Month by visiting Beth Levine: The First Lady of Shoes. Each Friday and Saturday in March we will be screening a documentary that features other firsts in women’s history including art, literature, politics and culture.

Student Wednesday
Students of all ages are encouraged to visit Bellevue Arts Museum on the 2nd Wednesday of each month where they will receive complimentary admission to the museum with an online coupon. Additionally, the new Teen Art Council will be coordinating teen specific activities during each Student Wednesday.

Breakfast with BAM: Beyond the Norm - Varying Perspectives of Art, Craft and Design
Come have breakfast with Bellevue Arts Museum on the third Tuesday of each month; we provide the coffee and you provide the conversation. Meet with your fellow art and craft enthusiasts to discuss contemporary craft and the current exhibits displayed at the museum.

March 16: We will discuss the exhibit Beth Levine: First Lady of Shoes. As the first successful female shoe designer, she went “beyond the norm” in a field that was traditionally dominated by men. Come explore her creativity through her innovative design of shoes.

April 16: We will discuss the exhibit Lisa Gralnick: The Gold Standard, in which the artist explores thought provoking ideals of value, currency, and economy as well as the relationship between personal value and sentimental value.

May 17: We will discuss Eyes for Glass: The Price Collection and the variety of glasswork and how it provides an overview of the Northwest studio glass scene.

Making BAM Tick: Lunchtime conversations with museum curators and staff
Bellevue Arts Museum offers a new lunchtime series every third Thursday of the month. Hear from curators and other staff members as they offer an inside glimpse into the Museum’s inner workings.

Sara Little Turnbull is a giant in design and widely regarded as “the mother of invention.” In a practice that has spanned six decades, Sara has traveled internationally in her design research. As a product research consultant, she has worked with CEOs of America’s largest and most innovative manufacturing firms.

Family Day: Celebrate Earth Day!
Join Bellevue Arts Museum for an afternoon of art projects and artist demonstrations celebrating Earth Day with the themes of recycling and reusing materials. Several local artists will be on hand demonstrating how they recycle objects into new and usable works of art.

12th Annual Monika Clowes Memorial Emerging Artist Concert
Experience the astonishing talent of four of the area’s top young pianists, as Sun Chang (age 14), David Golub (16), Alex Lu (9), and Christopher Lu (13) perform a variety of solo repertoire from Chopin and Schubert to Copland and Shostakovich. Don’t miss this inspiring concert, presented by Seattle Chamber Music Society for music lovers of ALL ages!
