"Evidence of Distant Travelers"
Glass 14" x 23" x 5/8", with stand 16" x 26" x 5", multi-colored, leaning red, initial offering of the NEOGLYPHS series. "NEO-GLYPHS", my latest series, are hieroglyphs for the modern age. Using the KENTE technique of ‘warp stripe design’, I’m able to juxtapose different stripes of color and design in one piece of GLASS FABRIC. Each stripe and and fabric telling a story. The one you make up for it.

Cohasset Beach in Westport, WA
Westport is known for its deep sea fishing boats and trips. You can dig for clams, go crabbing or fish for salmon and halibut. According to its Chamber of Commerce, it has the best surfing among the Northwest beaches. The beachside house comes with two bikes and there is golfing in nearby Aberdeen, a 30 minute drive away. Read and relax at this quiet, serene getaway.

This is a second Simcha Sherman bowl from the 2007 exhibit Offering Reconciliation at Bellevue Arts Museum which included 135 ceramic pieces by top Israeli and Palestinian painters, sculptors and photographers. The bowl represents the connection between art and life, bringing to mind the act of serving an offering or preparing a feast to gather people together.
